Inspiration for this project arose from an early morning drive past a panel of windows. The reflection of my car at predawn drew up a gracefully shifting vector field.
Prototyping
The panel went through three iterations negotiating size, servo type, and microcontroller operation on each respective iteration.
Fabrication
After iterating and refining the final panel consisted of 28 servos, two servo driver boards and one Arduino microcontroller. The final piece cycles through various movement patterns. Demonstrated below is the wave pattern.

Future work
This piece is the first building block towards larger and interactive vector fields.
